The EuroNanoForum 2013, Europe’s largest Nanotechnology and & Materials Conference takes place in Dublin on 18-20 June. This year, the focus is on the impact of nanotechnology in solving societal problems in environment, energy and health. As this is the most important event this year under the European Commission’s Industrial Technologies programme, I would like to inform you about the extended deadline for calls for projects and posters for the conference, as well as about the possibility to reserve a stand in the coinciding Nanotech Europe Exhibition.
Best Research Project Award 2013
- Submit a project by 5th of April
The Calls for Posters and Best Projects relating to Nanotechnology has been extended to allow more participants. This is an ideal opportunity to both influence nanotechnology funding decisions in Horizon2020 as well as actively disseminating details about projects. The finalists of the Best Research project will get invited to the Award Gala and receive a unique opportunity to present their achievements to the delegates. In a live-voting, the winner will be nominated and receives the prestigious Best Researcher Award 2013.
All poster submissions will get the opportunity to disseminate their research in the 2-day poster session. Researchers get the opportunity to pitch their research to the audience during the Cocktail Reception on the first day of the conference.
Completed projects — For the Best Research Project Award we are looking for completed projects funded under the 5th, 6th and 7th EU Framework Programmes for Research & Innovation by the Industrial technologies (NMP) Programme, the European Research Council, the Marie Curie Programme, the Future and Emerging Technologies (FETs) or the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), all related to nanotechnologies. Coordination and support actions (CSAs) are not eligible.
Ongoing projects – While FP7 and ERDF projects (CSAs excluded) still ongoing at the time of the conference are not eligible for the award, there is a possibility to present them at a dedicated FP7 project-workshop on day 3 of the conference.
Deadline – The deadline has been extended to 5th of April. The extension applies to the call for Best Research Project Award 2013 and the call for Posters. More information: www.euronanoforum2013.eu/calls/
Nanotech Europe Exhibition
- Reserve a stand for the exhibition
Coinciding with the EuroNanoForum, the Nanotech Europe offers the biggest European marketplace for nanotechnology and materials applications, products and research.
Confirmed organizations — Over 50 organisations have already confirmed their participation, including national country and investment clusters such as NanoNextNL, CCAN, Czech Invest, Nanotech Finland Cluster as well as companies like Intel and Beneq.
Visibility for the exhibitors – Place at the exhibition allows for presenting your innovation to buyers, scouts and investors. The exhibitors have excellent visibility over the conference, starting from the inauguration of the exhibition by the Commissioner Máire Geoghegan-Quinn and a press tour, continuing with exhibitor pitches over conference breaks, and culminating to awarding the most innovative exhibitor at the Award Gala.
Reservations — The slots in the exhibition are limited. To secure a place and pitch slot in the exhibition, reserve your place as soon as possible. More information and registration: www.euronanoforum2013.eu/exhibitors/
