A large German company (a manufacturer of high quality titanium dioxide pigments) plans to participate:
- in a consortium which deals with the subject “safety of nanotechnology”, in particular relating to the FP7-Topics NMP.2013.1.3-1, NMP.2013.1.3-2 or NMP.2013.1.3-3.
The company is a manufacturer of high quality titanium dioxide pigments. In some cases, the titanium dioxide is used in a nanoscale particle size, therefore the matter of safety is vitally important for the company. The contributions of the company to an existing consortium may be the provision of material for experiments and/or the assistance with existing know-how. - the company is also interested in participating in a project consortium relating to the topic NMP.2013.1.4-4. In this context, they would be an adequate conversational partner in the creation of a dialogue between citizens, students, young researchers, policy makers and nanotechnology specialists. The experts of the company may also help towards the creation of an unbiased profile both for benefits and potential risks associated with the applications of nanotechnology. We are looking for further non-German (preferably industrial ) partners for the Call “Nanotechnology-based sensors for environmental monitoring“ (NMP 2013.1.2-1). Our idea is the use of lasers to produce sensors for Surface enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS). So far we have partners from the University of Giessen (Germany) and one Italian university. The industrial partner should be the potential coordinator. PLease contact
